Meet Maha from Karachi.

Maha Shahzad is a Pakistani entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of BusCaro, a technology-driven mobility company focused on making everyday commuting safer, more reliable, and accessible across Pakistan.

With around 15 years of experience building and growing startups, Maha has worked across some of Pakistan’s leading technology and mobility companies. Before founding BusCaro, she held leadership roles at Swvl and Cheetay, gaining valuable experience in operations, business growth, and scaling technology-driven services.

In 2022, Maha founded BusCaro after seeing a major gap in Pakistan’s daily transportation system. Starting with just a single bus, she built the company around a simple goal: providing dependable transportation for employees, students, and institutions.

Today, BusCaro works with companies, schools, and institutions through technology-enabled transport solutions, including:

• Live tracking
• Operational visibility
• Safety-focused systems

The company operates across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. Under Maha’s leadership, BusCaro has grown significantly and crossed 20 million bookings in Pakistan. The company also raised $2 million in 2025, bringing its total reported funding to $3.5 million.
